If you're not growing, you're dying
"If you're not growing, you're dying." That's the kind of thing you hear all the time in business here. I never expected it would still apply to me after years in the US, company running, negotiating contracts in English every single day.
But it does. I still take English classes to this day. Not because I can't get by, I already handle my whole life in English. It's that I won't stop chasing improvement just because I've already gotten results. My goal is full fluency. It's having served 10,000 families by 2028. It's having a company that keeps getting more efficient, with better solutions. One of them is PTX Exchange, for sending money between the US and Brazil at a fair rate, fast and efficient.
That's what entrepreneurs are like. You can't settle for good. You have to want the best, always, in a pursuit that never ends.
But that only became clear to me once I got here, to the US.
Being in a place like this changes you as an entrepreneur. Long-term thinking isn't a special skill here, it's just how people operate. Everyone around you is already playing a bigger game, so you either grow into it or you fall behind.
And if I could give you one piece of advice today, it would be this: come experience this country at least once in your life.
You only understand what's actually possible once you're standing inside an environment built for it. From far away, that kind of ambition looks unrealistic. From here, it's just another Tuesday.
It's not about running from anywhere, it's about putting yourself somewhere that demands more of you. Every successful person I know spent real time in an environment like that, and what changed wasn't their passport, it was the size of what they thought was possible.
The problem is some people come here and never actually arrive. Same small thinking, same hesitation, same habit of waiting for permission. More than a change of location, you need to change your goals.
Reply to this email: what's still holding you back from thinking bigger, even here?
